“Self-confidence is a superpower. Once you start to believe in yourself, the magic starts happening.”

– Anonymous

Confidence is the belief you are capable. It is believing in yourself and your abilities and saying “I can” instead of “I can’t.” Having confidence is being able to trust in yourself and the decisions you make.

Why Confidence is Important

Confidence is essential in all aspects of life. It gives us the drive to move forward with different opportunities instead of cracking down and backing away. Confidence helps motivate us to keep going and ways to handle setbacks and failure. With confidence, people will look to you as a leader and be drawn to you.

3 Ways to Build Confidence

First, keep track of your wins. It can be easy to let the voice inside of your head take over and try to tell you that you are disappointing or you aren’t doing enough. Instead, practice being proud of the small things you accomplish and celebrate the big wins. Reminding yourself of your accomplishments will boost your confidence and make you feel like you can tackle anything in your way!

Second, remove negativity from your life. Reevaluate things and people that are surrounding you and think if they have a positive or negative impact on your life. If it has a negative impact, get rid of them or diminish them as much as possible. Try replacing the negatives with positives because the more positivity that you surround yourself with will be uplifting and rub off on you and your mindset! This will help your confidence bloom.

Third, stop comparing yourself to others. As they say, the comparison is the thief of joy. Focus on your strengths and where you are in life. Live life according to your timeline, not anyone else’s. Learn to compete with yourself instead of others and focus on your own goals. Nowadays, many people compare themselves to others on social media, whether it be likes, comments, or followers. Maybe set some boundaries with social media like unfollowing accounts that make you feel bad about yourself or limiting your time on social media for the day. Focus on you and the quality of your life!
